Nelson Construction will be participating in the first Connecticut Zero Energy Challenge. The Zero Energy Challenge is a residential design and build competition that is jointly sponsored by the Connecticut Clean Energy Fund (CCEF) and the Connecticut Energy Efficiency Fund (CEEF). The purpose of the Zero Energy Challenge is “to identify, encourage and promote builders and developers of super high efficiency (near zero energy) homes in Connecticut”. This program seeks to demonstrate that building to this level of efficiency is not a far-off concept but can in fact be achieved today.
Nelson Construction will bring both its expertise in energy efficient construction as well as its eye for aesthetic appeal in the construction of this new research home on Wakefield Lane in Farmington CT.
