Sam Fitzsimons

Assistant Supervisor

Sam Fitzsimons was recently promoted to Assistant Supervisor at Nelson Construction, a role he earned through hard work, consistency, and a strong commitment to learning the trade. Sam joined Nelson about a year ago as a Construction Laborer on The Grand Ryefield, where he quickly proved himself by taking initiative and delivering dependable, high-quality work. With five years of experience in the construction industry, he has steadily worked his way up and now plays a key role overseeing the finish phase of The Grand Meadows project.

Sam enjoys hands-on work and takes pride in seeing projects come together from start to finish. He credits the supportive, welcoming team at Nelson for helping him grow into his current role and values the strong relationships built on site. His favorite tool is the Skil Saw, which he appreciates for its efficiency and reliability in day-to-day work.

His favorite project to date remains The Grand Ryefield, as it was his first project with Nelson and gave him the opportunity to see a job through to completion. Sam holds OSHA 10 certification and is licensed to operate aerial lifts and forklifts, further supporting his ability to contribute across multiple aspects of the jobsite.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys playing golf and competing in a men’s basketball league.
